Problem with heater again.?

Well i have an aqueon heater. I must say their products really suck. I purchased a 20 gal kit with all the necessary things for a freshwtr tank. First the filter brks dwn, i had to go and buy a new one while i waited for the new one, got it after 3 weeks. Oh at the time i had it for about 2 weeks. Nowi think the heater is done cause it doesnt go up above 72 degrees. Yesterday it went dwn to about 70, i think the heat of the bulb is helping to keep it warm also. I have tried raising the temp little by little and no change at all. I called the company and am waiting for a new one to come. Shouldi get a new heater that is also 100w or can i get a htr that is about 50 to 75 wts and put it in with the one i have.

A 50w heater should be good for a 20 gallon tank. I've had Aqueon heaters before without any problems. I suggest to get another thermometer as well. I had a simular problem and it was the thermometer. Here's a link on heat sizing for you.
