Irish Fishing Sweaters

It could not have been one more trip to the Emerald Isle. Great weather, great group and the best driver / guide ever - Doney Carroll. He looked after us at all times ensure us at our hotel early so we could nap before leaving for a full afternoon and evening in Dublin.
The first stop, the brewery Guinness, where he learned the world-famous beer is made and even came to the show at the Gravity Bar on top of the brewery. Then we find a musician named Anthony who helped us in the music school and operate as Irish music sessions. We toured the Temple Bar area, at two different places and heard history and types of Irish music. I think if there was still a little jet lag, we could have stayed all night.
There are days of San Patricio and then there are Irish on St. Patrick and nothing could be compared with Dublin. The weather was amazing and the city was a sea of people adorned in green. Our hotel was a perfect place to just walk out and see the parade. The Mardi Gras parade had flavor without the floats. It was fantastic and full of bright colors with the participants seemed Glen fairies than elves. It was glorious. After its end, the whole city became a virtual street party with people dressed in all shades of green as possible and bring the craziest thing we could find hats. Of course there were many of us who joined right in! We ended the day with an evening was a fabulous night some more music and Irish dancing in Howth and 16 century Abbey Inn.
Doney crank the next day Irish melodies for us as we drove to Cashel to visit the ruins of the Cathedral Rock of Cashel. It was our only encounter with the rain and the sky was bright blue when we came to the picturesque fishing village of Kinsale. The food in this city was amazing and all of the sample dispersed in several restaurants before meeting a tour of Ghosts. Tales of pirates and prisoners and all the history of the city were included along with the introduction of street theater. No ghoulies were seen.
Day Next we were all going to kiss the Blarney Stone and do some buying power to the mills of Blarney. The grounds of Blarney Castle and daffodils were coming up with a good number of the group managed to climb to the top of the castle to bow and kiss the stone. Can not say how eloquent we've all become?
Ended Day in Bunratty, where we have a tour of the impressive stone castle and ate as a group in the pub Durty Nellies. The food and company were excellent and many time before and after enjoying the atmosphere!
sunshine blessed us again as we headed to the Cliffs of Mohr and the views were simply impressive. Incredibly, there was virtually no wind and it was a picture-perfect look. Doney took the time to divert us along the shin road show rocky outcrops of the area known as the Burren.
Our last stop was Galway and had no free time for all. More than half the group chose to take the option to tour the Arran Islands and did not disappoint. Yes, there were opportunities to buy the traditional sweaters of Inis Mor, but the tour in rocky island, including fascinating history and amazing sites. Seal colonies, cliff curtains, fairy houses and more. Congratulations to Michelle Bauer, who got the fingers in ice water to claim the Atlantic to play on both sides.
It was all very fast and the heavens opened the next morning as we headed to the airport. Irish eyes were crying that we were going? Almost everyone agreed to go back and enjoy the friendliness of our hosts numerous Irish.
